Julia Sweeney's "Letting Go of God"

Went to Julia Sweeney's performance of "Letting Go of God" last night at the Ars Nova theater. All I can say is...wow. It was truly an amazing performance. Honest, sincere, hilarios and touching at most times. I don't think I've ever left a performance with so much to think about. The intimate setting allowed Sweeney to really connect with the audience as she shared her struggles with coming to terms with her faith (or lack thereof). She also seemed genuinely surprised at the warm response she got from the audence all night long.

If you get a chance to see this show, go! It will be at the Ars through Saturday only. I would personally love for this show to get a nice long off-broadway run. Let's pray it does!
