I have had the pleasure of seeing Julie Hanson when she understidied Christine way back at around 2001 in Boston. She was the best Christine I have ever seen! Anyways playbill.com says that she plays Christine Monday evenings and Wed and Sat shows...wed and saturday shows like matinees?? or all shows or evenings or what? I am not sure what they meant. Does anyone know for sure??
The last time I saw the show Julie was Christine for Wednesday matinees and one of the Saturday performances, I don't remember if it was the matinee or evening. That was in March. Someone who has seen the show recently maybe can help?
As of this week she does go on Monday Evenings and Wednesday Matinees. It really depends on who is in and when you're seeing it. Example Sandra Joseph signed until June so Julie's schedule may change also.
I agree Julie is one of the finest Christine's I have ever seen. And she is SO SO nice.

I love Julie Hanson. I have never seen a more different aproach to the role of Christine in my many experiences and research of the show. I also saw her understudy Christine in Boston and was WOWED. Julie is probably the youngest looking Christine out there and brings a much more childlike innocence to the role that the others really never bring. Sandra and Sarah Pfisterer are amazing but they have more of a reagle quality to them, where Julie looks like a teenage girl up there. She is just wonderful and such a change from the usual Christine Daae's
Julie Hanson performed in this week's Wednesday Evening Performance...So I really have no idea what's going on. I thought she was good...she was the youngest-looking Christine I'd ever seen so that definitely added another element to the performance...in the first few minutes or so I wasn't very pleased with her...maybe it was just a weak night or she was still sluggish from the matinee or something...but the first few minutes of her performance were a little lacking but eventually she definitely grew on me...and when "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" rolled around she brought tears to my eyes...so overall it was a great performance :)

Well, when Sandra can't appear for personal reasons or whatever, Julie usually will be the one to take her place. But they don't announce anything until the day of the performance.

I saw Sandra Joseph tonight...I think Julie was better...but I think Sandra might have been sick cuz she kept missing notes and clearing her throat
acting-wise she overacted JUST A BIT. As I said, I think Julie is better.
