of lung cancer. She was 81. KISS ME KATE was my fav. I can also see her dancing down the steps in the Campbell Soup commercials.

It was Great American Soups, not Campbell's.
She was 1 of the greats. I remember her positive attitude, despite traumas she endured. I seem to recall an interview wherein she discussed having been pushed down a flight of steps by her then husband & breaking her back. I think she was (or was about to) shooting a film & went on wearing a back brace.
Does anyone remember this? or am I dreaming?
