Just Saw The Memphis Tour

I would like to say that I have been living in NY for the past 5 years, and I have managed to see almost every show except for Memphis. I had seen all of the flak that it was receiving on these boards so I had always decided to skip it. I've been in Memphis for the past few days to visit some old friends. They decided to surprise me with tickets to Memphis. Today I saw the show and absolutely loved it! Everything was beautiful about the production. The lighting, the choreography, the acting, the singing, and even the sets! It's such a beautiful show and I don't understand why it is so hated by many people on this website. People say that it is one of the worst shows to win Best Musical, but I believe 100% that it deserved that award.

I saw the show in New York and was blown away. The design and the talent was astounding. Laughed and cried, and the must was so catchy. I revisited the show to look closely at the lighting design, which I think is superb.
