Can you elaborate on Bernadette's performance of Losing my Mind?

I'm wondering what qualities she brings to it, I mean of course her explicit vulnerability. But are there features of it you remember?

I don't know how you want me to elaborate. What I love about Bernadette is her vulnerability- as you mentioned. In Losing My Mind, I love the control she has of her notes, how she expresses the emotion of the song, how she modulates. To me, she doesn't have to be all showy, it's about a pure delivery of the song and the power she has when she sings out. She just stood at the microphone and delivered. She gives the song a heart and a soul- not just a technical version that says look at me- I can sing hard songs and hold out notes, etc. It's like when I see a really good techincal dancer- especially with young girls- who can do all the moves but doesn't really bring the meaning of the song or like a pianist who just plays the notes but doesn't feel the music. Bernadette is a phenomenal singer who is an equally phenomenal actor. She brings pure emotion. She's also great at making you feel like she's singing the song just for you- even though there are 3000 other people in the audience. I hope that helps!

supportivemom, did Bernadette perform Rose's Turn or Send in the Clowns at the concert? I'm seeing her on Sunday and would love it if she sang one or both, not to mention Losing My Mind.

ABB- First of all congrats on getting to see her perform- she's FABULOUS! She did not sing Rose's Turn or Send in the Clowns. Backstage, one of the chaperone's tried to get her to sing Send in the Clowns but the kids all moaned and snapped back that she just performed a show. She politely declined and agreed to sign autographs instead. Please post after the show. I'm sure she will sing some songs she didn't sing here! p.s. I don't recall that she sang Losing My Mind either.
