KIM CRISWELL - Call Me Madame

Hey, am I the only one who really enjoys Kim Criswell?! She's going to star in CALL ME MADAME at Goodspeed. I know she never really made it big here in the US, even though that's where she's from, but she's known as the new Ethel Merman and has recorded dozens of studio albums as well as cast albums. She's known for her work on Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Wonderful Town with Audra MacDonald on cd and Cats as Grizabella in Los Angeles. She's also on the original London Cast of Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queens where she sings the title song, "My Brother Lived in San Francisco" and "Celebrate".

She has never made it big here because she is, apparently, difficult to work with and limited as an actress.

Really? Since my site has been up I have heard nothing but praise from people who have worked with her before! Maybe she might get a bit Diva at times, but what Diva doesn't? lol

Don't get me wrong, I love her dearly as a vocalist, too, but, by all accounts, there are some problems in the personality and acting departments, as I understand it.
