Well Curtains is getting done.
I think there's also a show called Minstral that is getting a workshop. Mr. Kander is finishing the lyrics.

Skin of Our Teeth is Over & Over, which, along with The Visit, Curtains and The Minstrel Show are the Kander & Ebb shows yet to hit NYC.

Thank you Pinaud! I knew it was something along the lines of The Minstral Show. I just wasn't sure if it was one word or three.

Will it?
Well I hope so. I think with a big name (David Hyde Pierce) starring in it, it might. Let's cross our fingers!

The Visit was produced - just not on Broadway if that is what you mean.

Didn't Chita Rivera herself said she was still hoping The Visit would go on Broadway? I've read is a bit too dark which is completely expected from a Kander & Ebb show, I love the story line so I wish they released a recording of the score. Curtains sounds like it will make it, the other shows are still in limbo I believe.

I apologize for being a bit new to broadway fandom (and consequently ignorant), but would anyone be gracious enough to provide me with a list of the Kander and Ebb shows that *have* been produced?

There is a good film version of The Visit starring Ingrid Bergman, so if you see it, you'll get a good idea of the plotline.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

From what I've heard from friends who have seen the readings of THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH (aka OVER AND OVER; aka ALL ABOUT US), it's going to need a hell of a lot more work before it's ready for a major New York staging.

CURTAINS is a murder mystery set behind the scenes of a Broadway musical in the 1950s.

THE MINSTREL SHOW is about the Scottsboro Boys case. It was what they were working on at the time of Ebb's death, and Kander is apparently finishing the show himself as both composer and lyricist.

On the matter of The Visit being dark-
I don't think any Kander and Ebb show can get much darker than Kiss of the Spider Woman. Kander and Ebb were known for dark material in both dramas (Spider Woman, Cabaret, Zorba) and comedies (Chicago, the revival of Flora, the Red Menace). I don't see why that's an issue.
I think producers are just affraid of something that isn't a colorful, fun musical comedy. Hopefully, with Piazza and Color Purple being done sucessfully, maybe producers will give dramas another chance.

I'd also love to see some of their lesser known stuff get revived. I mean, we've seen "Guys and Dolls" 4 times! How about the revised script of "The Happy Time" they talked about in "Colored Lights" or even "The Rink?"

ALL ABOUT US is being presented to regional producers this week. It's not going to be done in New York.

CURTAINS has been announced for the Ahmanson this summer, but not all of the offers have gone out yet.

Looks like Over & Over/Skin of Our Teeth/All About Us has had a name change once again, as it is apparently now being called People Like Us.
