re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

I saw her in Trinity Rep's Annie. She's very good. Good for her, but yes, a little weird.

All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever."

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

I'm not too impressed...but she is 15, and I wasn't that good at 15..I suppose that should make me impressed.

that post made no sense.

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

Just because he is trying to help her out doesn't mean anything is going on between them. I go to camp with Andrea, and I know how dedicated she is but she is also extremly talented, especially for her age. Mr. Webber sees this too and is just trying to help her out because how often is it that people with amazing voices get discovered?

(besides, she already has a boyfriend.)

She's cute and has a good voice, so good for her!

But, seriously, ALW is creepy... ::shivers::

"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"

"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

There are so many people in this country and in Europe that have amazing voices and amazing talent at her age and younger, it's such a shame more people do not take the time to search them out...it really is a shame

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

agreed. and that show is not the best way of seeking young talent out of the masses. people from my school have tried to audition and there are close to four pre-auditions you must pass through before even MAYBE seeing simon, paula, and randy. not exactly the best way...and that is a pop genre, so basically all of the classically and show tuned trained young people are screwed

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

They've also been put into the Simon/Paula/Randy room so that they may be insulted.

Remember "America's Got Talent" with Regis Philbin? An older woman came on stage, began to play the harp and sing a beautiful operatic piece....she was booed off the stage.

Tucker?

No you're wrong, friend. You are just plain wrong. And if Lord Andrew hears you speak that way you will be castrated, drawn and quartered.

re: 'Karaoke teen impresses Lloyd Webber'

that's terrible about the woman. but yes, many people are put into the room just to be insulted. a girl from my chorus class went to the recent new york city audition. about 9,000 people showed up. she said they give you a ticket and you have to wait a few hours to be called to sing with 3 other people at a booth. she wasn't asked to continue but if you were you were asked to sing again to another set of producers, brought inside to sing again, and then brought to another room to sing again, and THEN maybe you could see the judges.

I think I know who my friends are dating.
Anyway, American Idol...I just hate how the call people to be in front of the judges just to be hurt and embarassed for people's entertainment.

See something tells me you don't. If you did you would fear the cellist.
