It was a special moment that he should have been part of. It's a once in a lifetime moment. As you could see from the show, once Matthew starting singing "Til Him", Mel immediately got choked up. It would have been more special than it already was.

Posted: 1/3/10 at 11:11pmDoes anyone know who the ensemble dancers were for the tribute? I thought I recognized Angie Schrower and Bryn Dowling. There were a few others who looked very familiar, and I couldn't place them. I'm glad Gary Beach got a chance to play Roger again, and I loved the whole segment. Sad that Jane's performance got cut though!

Wasn't it only male lead performances shown, with the only women appearing as chorus?
I was wondering if the theme was leading men from Broadway. Big oversight to leave out a fair representation of leading women if that was not the theme. Strange.

The incredible Sean Martin Hingston was one. He said it was "surreal" to meet the president and the first lady dressed as a Nazi.

Posted: 1/4/10 at 6:56pmI wish Anne could have been there to share the moment with him. I'm sure that contributed to the emotional response he had.

I'm sure he was missing Anne, not having her with him to share the moment.
I, on the otherhand, got all farklempt when I realized I have the same dress as the woman seated behind Mel.
IS THAT WHAT I LOOK LIKE IN IT!!!
