Sadly, I think this may have been the last new episode we ever see of Kathy's show. Its ratings are pretty bad compared to the other "docudrama" shows on Bravo, not just the competition shows; this season has been rated lower than the entirety of The Real Housewives franchise, Bethenny Getting Married, even Tabatha's Salon Takeover. It's on-par with Kell on Earth and 9 By Design, but I'm sure Kathy makes more per episode than the stars of those shows. So in the end, it's probably not all that profitable for Bravo.
AwesomeDanny, the first three seasons (this was the sixth season finale) are available on DVD if you're interested (but seasons 2 and 3 are only at Target).
It's been an amazing season and a great finale. Seth seemed scared, didn't he? Like I thought his personality would have been more assertive. And I agree with Cloris, "gay up and drink the *expletive deleted* drink!" Cloris was fascinating, and that talent show was a hoot. A+
I seriously don't get the "muscle" bashing. If someone wants to PM to explain why this board member deserves these attacks I would sincerely like to hear about it. Otherwise, chill out and let him/her speak his/her opinions openly. The childish bickering is ridiculous. Sheesh.
I highly doubt this is Kathy's last season. Although ratings may be low, she is one of the only shows to gain Emmy nominations (in stand-up specials and dlist) year after year.
For those of you mentioning Kathy's singing being not bad, I read her book a couple of weeks ago and she actually started out in musical theatre in high school.
She mentions growing up, singing along to "Funny Girl".
I seriously doubt D-List is in jeopardy. Bravo let's her churn out specials (which that and D-list are used for lead-ins to other Bravo reality series) and she gives the network a lot more credibility than those other shows mentioned. Yes, D-list is hi-brow compared to Real Housewives. She gets the Emmy nominations/wins. Also, I am sure a lot of her ratings fall has a lot to do with DVR/Tivo. Plus if Bravo dumps it, then I am sure another network will pick it up (hopefully not as messy and delaying as Project Runway going to Lifetime).

Oh, you're all correct. I have no doubt Bravo would want to keep her show around. But coming off of her highest rated season last summer to a virtual wasteland (the season finale rated lower than the third season premiere of Rachel Zoe, which I'm sure costs a fraction of D-List) has to be disheartening. I also remember early in 2009 there were talks that the show wouldn't return at all due to the rising costs of Kathy's salary and the guest stars salaries, among other things I'm sure. I certainly hope it will return but won't be surprised if it doesn't. At the very least, we have one more standup special to look forward to before 2010 is over! Beyond that, who knows?
