I thought she was done with "Glitter" for a while. Well that's what she said at her concert over a year ago . . . . so I guess the while is up.

Glitter was fabulous. My boyfriend and I just about died laughing when the jewelry box wouldn't stay open and she threw it down on the ground.

And she kept on belting out the high notes while bending down to pick up the jewels....She rocks!

Do you think that she will do another concert there?I would love to see her again. Also who else thinks she should have done My New Philosophy or Thank Goodness from Wicked?

Maybe Philosphy, but she did the two biggies from WICKED and that was more than enough...there is life after OZ, after all.

I love Thank Goodness but I think that would be hard becasue there are such long stretches where she doesn't sing...And it would be amazing if she added "My Philosophy" to her show.
I was really disappointed she didn't sing My Philosophy.. she did win the Tony for the show. I think her song choices from Wicked were good.. she had to sing Popular especially with all of the Wicked fanatics running around. I actually saw three girls holding Wicked books thinking they could get to Kristen to have her sign it. This isn't the stage door.

Oh yeah, I noticed a few of the "Wicked fanatics" hyperventilating, and I am pretty sure one burst into flames.
I just got in from from my flight back to LA and everyone already said everything I wanted to say. Oh well. The concert was everything that has been said and more. What an amazing talent and a very appreciative audience. I don't believe anyone has mentioned so far that Andrew Lippa is working on "Betty Boop" and they were very coy as to who would play the part of Betty!
I also saw Joel Grey, Ron Rifkin, Hugh Jackman. They were all standing just outside the entrance door at intermission. Joel Grey and Ron Rifkin sat one row down from me and a couple of seats over. Just before intermission ended, Hugh Jackman came up and talked to the person in the seat in front of me but I didn't know who that person was. Sean Hayes (of Will and Grace) was standing next to me in front of the bar during intermission. I saw Victor Garber going up the escalator.
Someone else's different opinion of the show

I saw that article and the only two things I agreed with were that the show was not sold out and Alanis was not that good -- her vibratto did not work with the song. I guess I am just blessed having seen both Idina and Stephanie in person.

I wouldnt get too upset with that review..they can't even spell her name right. And whenever Kristin performs she is beyond amazing...

"I seen some cameras up in the terrace area but I dont know if they were recording it for a dvd or television broadcast."
If it was for the latter or the former, I'll be damned either way.
Incidentally, they weren't camcorders, were they?

I believe they were camcorder cameras because there were also people on the side in the orchestra taking pictures.

It's so wierd to me that she sang "how could I loose you"...
it's like she said "let's put in something by a contemporary musical writer. something risque, something up-to-date... and ended up chosing the most banal, old-fashioned (though cute) of Guettel's songs ever...

That's pretty small, but still, you can't lose with Wayne Bergeron on trumpet.
He's one of the strongest, shrillest trumpeters in LA.
