I recently re-read my Samuel French published LA CAGE script and noticed that the 2005 and current Broadway revivals have some differences in them. For instance in Albin's first scene there is discussion of reviving Albin's SALOME (which still makes me think of SUNSET BLVD, but I digress) and in the scene where Albin learns of the impending marriage he says something along the lines of "Our baby is leaving and we won't have any others" to which Georges replies, "Not without a miracle," and finally there is Georges counterpart singing during "Anne On My Arm." There are others, these are just the three I remember.
My question is where did these changes come from and if you license the show do you get the changes or do you do the ORIGINAL script like I have? Thanks!
PS Sorry for this, but is there any new news of a cast recording of the revival?
