hi
anyone know who the best agents in LA are for both theater AND film/TV? Also I'm looking for a good monologue from film/television for an on camera class. I'm 18, blonde hair and usually play age range 16-20. Thanks for your help in advance.

not too much agent-based theatre in LA...it's mostly done on reputation. You can usually schedule your own appts. in LA for theatre.
Get a SAG agent...you'll be happier. Ask them to submit you if they seem willing to do so for theatre.

Some good agencies though are Coast to Coast, Osbrink, Bicoastal Talent, and if you're not union yet, try the Morgan Agency because they're pretty good about considering up and coming talent that is non union and they're a decent agency. Abrams Artists has a decent reputation, but I've heard mixed things from people I've known they represent. Commercials Unlimited is one of the best agencies to represent you commercially, and my friend who is with them really likes his agent with them. The Cage Group is also really good, but they pretty much only represent people that already have made a name for themselves in the industry. KSA (Kazarian-Spencer and Associates) is also supposed to be very good, and if you're interested in voice over work, the Tisherman Agency is great for voice over work. I hope this helps. :) I've been doing the agent search thing since I was a young kid, and I'm from L.A. so I'm familiar with the agencies I've dealt with out here and the ones my friends are with, and such. If you have any other questions, I might be able to help, so feel free to ask. However, you should look into picking up a "Ross Reports" at any drama bookstore like a Samuel French, and it will list almost every agency and casting director, as well as current productions in L.A. and New York.
