thanks SB!
You've seen the raw footage- how is he?
Is the filmed portion from his opening night or his two "Trial Run's?"

Posted: 8/23/07 at 4:53pmI hope it's from his opening night - he wasn't very good when the press reels were filmed, but he's improved immensely since then...

Posted: 8/23/07 at 6:55pmHard to say, it might be opening night. He seems kinda bland, sorry to say.

Posted: 8/23/07 at 7:10pmI just don't care for his voice more than anything, and if the rumors are true he sounds like a jerk

"and the whole coming out experience." DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
I think the ET segment showed more of his singing.
Either way, NICEST KIDS' sounds so different.

I too noticed gloomy horror music they played when Lance mentioned coming out. Haha!
I think the "Hairspray" clip sounded pretty good.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 12:36amI saw him his opening night and I was really happy with how he did and I'm picky about my Hairspray cast members! Maybe it's because I've loved him for over 8 years, but I was pleasantly surprised by his vocal ability. I never thought he'd be able to pull off those two songs with that bass! I think you can tell he's really happy to be up there on that stage!

Posted: 8/24/07 at 12:03pmI have no pre-existing feelings about Bass either way, but I wasn't impressed with what I saw in the clips. He looked really stiff, and (to my eyes, anyway) visibly nervous. I'm chalking it up to a case of the jitters. If he has truly improved since then, great! I'd like to see him do well.
