yes. La Cage Aux Folles = Birdcage. If only that was worth a million dollars.

i've heard rumors of Gary Beach, Doug Sills, and Nancy Opel. Also heard a Hunter Foster rumor but I doubt that.

The original French film of La Cage became Birdcage by taking the original script and simply adding a few American references. The musical does a very strange turn in the second act (a scene added, I gather, so there would be a production number), but it's still more or less faithful to the original.

Not sure where I heard it, but I'm pretty sure Grammer officially declined -- he wanted to the Hearn role and can't really sing it. I believe it's going to be Beach and Sills -- I don't think it's official, yet.

Douglas Sills is going to be in Spamalot so I guess La Cage is out of the question.
