La Cage is Drama League Nominee

The Drama League has nominated The Frogs for Best Production of a Musical and La Cage Aux Folles for Best Revival of a Musical.

Daniel Davis was in both those productions. Just thought I'd mention it.

Sabrelady - That is HARDLY the case! In a season of 11 New Broadway Musicals only 5 were nominated.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Frogs, The Light in the Piazza, Spamalot and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

And after a slew of Off Broadway Musicals, only 3 grab nods...

Altar Boyz, Ghetto Superstar, The Musical of Musicals

Don't ask me to pick here because I am having a hard enough time narrowing it down between DRS & SPELLING BEE - let alone throwing ALTAR BOYZ into the mix and my head just spins at the possibilites.


AS FAR AS REVIVALS...

La Cage Aux Folles, Pacific Overtures and Shockheaded Peter

Yep, Daniel Davis WAS INDEED in the Revival of LA CAGE and the new version of THE FROGS - and did pretty damn good work in both. I hope whatever was bugging him at the Marquis is remedied soon - hes TOO GOOD not to be seen on stage!

Keeping my fingers crossed for LA CAGE and just happy that the pathetic Sweet Charity didnt get a nod.
