I have a friend applying to LaGuardia high-school. For the drama department audition, you have to give a comedic monologue and a serious monologue. She has her serious monologue already and was going to do the "Coat-hanger Sculpture" monologue from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, but found out that almost everyone does that.
Do any of you have an idea as to what she could do for her funny monologue?

Tell her to try to do something with which she is very comfortable Find something close to your own personality, something that rings true to you. There are a ton of books.
As an aside, tell your friend to know the monologues COLD DEAD. Flubbing your lines will not get you in.
Great school - good luck!!
