This promises to be a great evening. Both women are very talented and it's a great opportunity to hear them perform outside of the theater arena...

Well,
I don't know who is marketing this show but the picture makes it look like a sex act.
Why are they half naked? Oy vey. I hate country music so i will miss this act. Updated On: 3/7/04 at 10:40 AM

You must be semi-prudish Corine to think that Laura Bell Bundy and Amber Rhodes picture looks like a sex act. The are showing their mid-drifts. That hardly compares to what I've seen on ads, billboards, commericial and on TV!

If they are playing at Fez it is not a smart marketing ploy.
It is a small club and 90 percent of the audience will be gay.
I just think it is stupid and they look cheesy.
I wish i had their flat stomachs but it is silly for the show they are doing.
It makes them look cheap and cheesy like Britney Spears.
Wrong audience.(Has the feel of trailer trash) Updated On: 3/7/04 at 10:57 AM

The girls look hot. God forbid they don't try and appeal to the tired husk that is the theater audience.

So your criticisms are even more irrelevant as it now appears you just wanted to take a cheap shot at a performer you apparently don't enjoy.

Corine-

I'll step in here for a moment to say that you have no idea what their marketing plan is.

And while FEZ may "typically" attract a gay audience, I would venture to guess that it would depend on what was playing that evening who would go to see Laura and Amber.

Clearly you know very little about country music or the marketing of it. (You hate it - in your own words) so I will educate you a little on the matter. Take a look at the following "hot country star" sites and tell me what they all have in common

I would rather hear what they are doing on Broadway then at Fez.
Laura is the understudy for Kristin. I was lucky to see Kristin but my mother saw Laura and thought she was good.
Sorry i am not "POPULAR" this am but (Wicked) i want to hear about Broadway performers singing Broadway songs not Country.
I have no interest in Country if i did then i would be on a County music website.

Are you a little bit rock & roll?
LBB is practicing being naked for Tarzan, duh.

I thought Tarzan was the one who had to be naked and Jane was a prim and proper English woman...

Good one Phantom you are old enough to watch Donny and Marie.
I had a huge crush on Donny Osmond when i was a kid.
Yes i love all music except Country and Rap.
But i only listen to Showtunes,Jazz and Opera recently.
Opera is starting to become a huge obsession. Updated On: 3/7/04 at 11:58 AM

Nobody asked on this thread who was going. I enjoy your posts usually Corine, but you seem to be responding in such a way as if we were seeking your approval.

So you don't like country music. That's cool. Why bother with posting?

Do you honestly think you're even making sense, Corine?

Christiane Noll has a jazz record, Heather Hedley has done an r & b record, Alice Ripley and Adam Pascal have non-show albums and performances too and we talk about them all the time, about those specific works. SURELY you don't think your idea that we can't talk about other things Laura Bell Bundy is doing because this isn't a 'country music' site is even remotely valid.

Unless you want to take your 'off topic' comments about Donnie Osmond to the 'off topic' board (since a television show and a pop record from days past are clearly not Broadway) I think you should bail on this thread before you say something even more stupid. Which I'm not certain is even possible.
