USA has become quite the channel for Broadway actors. First, Aaron Tveit and now Laura Benanti...
Does anyone else watch Royal Pains on USA? I don't know if she has become a reoccurring guest or a regular on the series, but Laura was featured in this week's episode of that show. Took me back a little when she popped up on my screen.
I am not a Laura B fan but for those who are, the episode should be online soon and the show is every Wednesday at 9:00. She is the exec in charge of acquiring the local hospital and it seems she'll be prominently featured in the weeks to come.
She may be fantastic on stage, but a tv actor she is not.

I wanted to stay positive but you're right, cglaid. She was a snoozefest on the show this week. Oh well!

She did a one-off on The Big C several years ago where she was hilarious. I hated the Playboy Club (and wasn't wild about Go On), but I don't think the problem was her with either of them.

PRS - check out her character on this show, when you get the chance. They have written her the dullest character ever. A polished, buttoned-down exec from Georgia. The southern accent was a surprise.

Oh, I'm not doubting that. I just don't think the blanket statement that she's not a tv actor is true, is all. And I'm not even a rabid Benanti fan! I just know I've seen her be good on tv.

Aaron was first? Hardly...
Pattin Murin was on Royal Pains last season as a pop singer. Kerry Butler was on White Collar last season working in a museum. Christine Ebersole is a recurring character on Royal Pains. Sutton was also on Royal Pains. Steve Rosen was on Psych (though that one films in California). And the list goes on and on. These are just the ones I remember off the top of my head.

Eris. I know! I'm a loyal USA viewer
I meant in terms of featured roles/characters. You're right, Christine was definitely featured and before Aaron or Laura. She left Royal Pains two seasons ago for Sullivan & Sons on TBS so I I guess I just forgot!
Sutton, Patti, et al. were only guest spots
I thought Patti was adorable on Royal Pains and I hope they find a way to bring her character back.
