Well it is safe to say that the Grease revival was one of the worst shows of last season. That being said Laura really seems to be finding some excellent work right now. She is in the developing Pride ad Prejudice and Bonnie and Clyde and tomorrow she will be starting as Nellie in South Pacific. She really seems to be making a name for herself in a very important time to do so. Personally I did not see the Grease revival but from my understanding it was the direction more than anything. Laura is way past that going from the worst revival to the best revival in less than a year. I am very happy about this especially since she is so charming and I do think quiet talented. Your Thoughts?

My thoughts are that you just gave her bio of the last year so there really isn't much to talk about here. You can't discuss facts...

Having had the opportunity to see Laura perform outside of Grease (Tales from the Bad Years, James Barbour's Love Songs) I can say that she is quite talented. I've only seen her act in Grease so I'm looking forward to seeing what she's able to do with a character, like Nellie, who actually goes through real emotional development. I heard positive things about her performance in Pride and Prejudice and I hope that turns into something not only for her but everyone involved.

And I know this doesn't have anything to do with her talent but I find Laura to be very refreshing in this field. You hear so many stories about performers who are rude and fake. Laura is so genuine and sweet you just can't help but wish all the best for her. Will she stay that way once she's truly been through the ringer of the business? I don't know but I certainly hope so.

How is she "quiet" talented? She's not quiet at all.

And I agree with PFR -- I'm not sure what we're discussing here....

but then again, I rarely understand half of the theads you create.

I hope she goes on to do great things.

I was one of the "lucky" people who got to see this revival of Grease. And people are right, the directing and choreography was not good and Max Crumm was...let's just say to be polite, not a leading man on Broadway. I thought the girls were the bright spot...Laura, Jenny, Robyn, Lindsay were very good.

The one thing I thought about Laura's performance was that you could tell she was very green and very nervous. Her acting was a little stiff but I'm sure as she gets more comfortable and better direction, she will be fine. She certainly doesn't need any help in the vocal department except maybe projecting a bit more.

But I think Laura has great potential and I am going to go back to SP because I would like to see how she does with this role. And she has very big shoes to fill!!!

I agree, esparza. I think charming and refreshing are the perfect word for Ms. Osnes. she has a lovely voice, a winning personality, and a youthful exuberance and joy while performing. I've thought that ever since the reality show. I wish her a lot of luck and think its pretty astonishing the way she's been able to form such a positive impression on important people in the business coming out of that unfortunate revival and show. It really speaks to her talent.

I think that was the OP's point.
