Laura will more than likely doing the pre-Broadway try-out of Frank Wildhorn's "Bonnie & Clyde" the musical as Bonnie. She did the role at La Jolla last fall.
Sarasota's Asolo Theatre (where Tale of Two Cities tried out), November - December! No announcement yet, however!
Wasn't there just a nationwide casting call for two unknowns to star in the next production of BONNIE & CLYDE?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Yes, but last I heard the plans were thrown away and Laura was re-offered the role. I have heard nothing of the actual nationwide casting call anymore since the original announcement (in which they said it was supposed to occur in April). Perhaps I'm wrong, but I believe Laura plans to join the cast.
They were searching for a "Young Clyde," but in the Florida area. I believe whoever wasn't happy with Frank's WONDERLAND production in which apparently the absolute bare minimum of actual Floridians/locals were used (I think it was only one or two).
I personally loved Laura as Bonnie in La Jolla. I think she's an extremely talented performer and would love to see her originate in a new musical. Fingers crossed.
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

According to broadway.com, Rose Hemingway is playing Rosemary.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I overheard Osnes in Bryant Park today telling someone that she was heading to Sarasota in the fall to do BONNIE AND CLYDE, with an impending Broadway move this coming spring.
I really hope she does do Bonnie and Clyde. I saw it at La Jolla and she is incredible. She is my favorite actress. I wish I could fly out to florida to see it.
