I know the word amazing is overused, but it is the most appropriate adjective I can think of to describe Lea's performance at the Tarrytown Music Hall. It was an intimate version of her Carnegie Hall debut concert, as she sang last night many of the songs she did at Carnegie Hall. The audience absolutely loved her. She got standing ovations, most thunderous and spontaneous of which was when she sang "I Dreamed A Dream". People were in tears! She sang "On My Own," and introduced it as her audition song for Miss Saigon. She sang "I'll Give My Life For You" (more tears). During this song, there was a weird noise from the back. It sounded like a cat in heat. Lea joked about in and, after the song, she said that "if it happens again, let's just put it aside" and ignore it. I found out later that it was from a mentally impaired woman in a wheel chair who was really moved by Lea's singing. I hope Lea reads this because I think she was a bit offended by the sound, not knowing what it was.

Oh, she sang "Taylor, The Latte Boy" - and the audience went wild! During "Someone To Watch Over Me" somebody sneezed and Lea said "bless you" then continued singing - the audience laughed soooooooo loud!!! Despite a request by the evening's host and Lea herself to shut off cell phones and stop taking photos as the flash bothered her, rude people did NOT oblige. I thought for one moment that Lea was going to have a diva moment and stop singing. Those f*cking creatures are rude and inconsiderate!!!! I hate them all!

Anyway...

Lea showed a great deal of her funny side. She was really hilarious and had the audience captive. This woman is amazing (there's that word again).

I've been waiting for a review since I missed the show. Thank you for sharing. Are there any backstage pictures you can share?
