Mmm, great honor for them, not so great for her.
I think Il Divo is a 1 trick pony.
^Totally agree!
But, isnt Il Divo more mainstream than Lea Salonga? Sold more albums worldwide than Lea Salonga?
Think she will benefit more than the other way around. talking about increasing fan base not just broadway and disney...

The members of Il Divo are tenors and they are doing a Broadway series for this tour.
Lea is performing with Il Divo starting Feb. 22nd to June 7th. In the Asian leg, she will only perform in S. Korea and Japan. In North America, she will perform in Canada, US and Mexico. Her last performance is on June 7th in Providence, Rhode Island. There are no shows in New York City. The closest one to NYC is Atlantic City at the Borgata Hotel on May 17th.
The members of Il Divo are tenors
Three of them are, anyway.
Thanks for the clarification, LizzieCurry. :)
Has anyone seen any stops of this Il Divo Broadway-themed tour? If so, how did Lea Salonga do?

First of, not an Il Divo fan. Saw the show at the Dolby in Hollywood mainly for Lea. It was sold out and the athmosphere in the theater was just electric from start to finish. I was worried she will be overpowered by the boys. But Lea held her own. In fact, the standouts, I thought, were her "duets" Music of the Night, Memory, and the encore/finale Time To Say Goodbye. She was Sarah Brightman/Sierra Boggess-ey in those. Her vocal range surprised me. She had a mini solo set which included I Dreamed a Dream/On My Own mash up, Defying Gravity, and Back to Before. The last one was my favorite. Beautifully rendered. She had three costume changes and she looked gorgeous. Every bit like a Broadway diva. Had a blast, surprisingly. Btw, I thought Il Divo was a lot better live than on TV or youtube.

Thanks! Glad Lea Salonga's using her legit soprano on this tour.
