I know she just did "Baby" in Manila...does anyone know where I could find an online clip of her singing this song?
Thanks.
No idea about an online clip, but I bet she does the song in her next concert and releases the CD like her previous concerts.
Would love to hear her perfect voice on this song...
There's a 3-song CD sampler of the production containing "The Story Goes On" that was just released, and is available from Footlight records. Being a not-so-closeted BABY fan, I ordered mine immediately. :) Updated On: 12/17/04 at 01:02 PM
That rocks. I just called Footlight and they're out of stock, but they'll be getting more in next week.

i actually downloaded the 3 songs from a website... can't remember... i love it! you can also go to ebay because last time i checked they were auctioning it
Just got my CD yesterday, and I love it! I've always been a fan of the show since I saw it locally about 10 years ago with Susan Egan as Lizzie. With the exception of "I Chose Right" and "The Story Goes On," there are practically no other recordings of those songs, so it was exciting to hear new versions -- and with the original oh-so-early-80's orchestrations.
David Shannon, aside from being a total hottie on the cover, sounds great.
Lea sounds wonderful too, and it sounds like this is a good role for her. As usual, she's a bit too light and "pretty" on the high, belty stuff, but that works better for her here than in Les Miserables.
If you're a fan of the show, or just of Lea of David, GET THE CD! :)
I just ordered it here for $6.00. It ships from the US so S&H isn't too bad.

Thanks for the tip about the CD ...I live here in Manila and hadn't known an album was released.
I did see BABY with Lea and David Shannon ( in case not too many people know him - he was the male lead on ALWebber's original London production of THE BEAUTIFUL GAME and he has performed in other West End shows) in August. Very good show, but the role was not a usual one for Lea and it did not make full use of her beautiful voice.
Lea was a child prodigy performer here and, the other day, I found her little girl voice amazing to listen to - singing songs like Tomorrow ( from Annie), Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and other oldies like Happiness, I Am But A Small Voice, When You Wish Upon A Star, Rainbow Connection, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, and even Chiquitita from ABBA
...The album is called LEA SALONGA - I'D LIKE TO TEACH THE WORLD TO SING.
