I had the supreme pleasure of being in the audience for a performance by Lee Roy Reams, at the Austin Cabaret Theatre (4 6 23). The host was Stuart Moulton, who heads A.C.T. He regaled us with all manner of stories from his performances and friends in musical theatre. Lee Roy performed songs from Sweet Charity, Hello Dolly, 42nd Street and more. His show was amazing and very energetic. I enjoyed his storytelling and his strong voice. In the show, he revealed to be 80 years of age. It was such a treat to witness this show, of a person who has known so many wonderful artists over the year. I hope he writes a book!
