Posted: 3/22/09 at 11:15amDoes anyone know if there's a possibility that Legally Blonde would open at The Pantages? I remember a rumor a while back that it was going to happen, and Laura Bell was going to play Elle. That would be so exciting! Is this going to happen?

It was indeed slated to open at the Pantages, but was instead replaced by a local production of "Corine's Corner".
I hear Jenifer Lewis will be playing Corine, with Mario Lopez as Michael Musto and George Takei as Gerard Alessandrini. Color-blind casting; gotta love it!

A little off-topic, but did I miss an annuoncement in regards that it's going to be running longer than expected?
I got the new subscription update for the DuPont in Wilmington, DE (where Patti + Mandy just had their concert), and looks like it'll be there Dec. 1 - 6, 2009...which could also very well mean it's going non-equity? Usually the tours there are non-eq, but the occasional (SPamalot this week I believe) equity tour rolls through....

Blonde opening at the Pantages had been announced a long time ago.
If anything, I'm a bit upset at the fact that they are not coming back to San Francisco!
