When the curtain comes up, the girls are just running around the stage screaming. The consensus is that the moment doesn't work as well sans house.

Yet if you don't compare it to Broadway, the scene works perfectly fine. In fact, all the changes I noticed worked just fine, regardless of the fangirl reaction.
