Does anyone know how long it is until Legally Blonde can recoup it's original investment?
I'm curious about this as well. Do they always make formal announcements when a show recoups? I remember reading a story when Mary Poppins did and Spring Awakening did this past year, but wasnt sure if they make an announcemnet for every single show that recoups.

I think an announcement is usually made, if only on message boards like this one.
It will be interesting, though, how long this particular one takes--AIDA, for example, didn't recoup until the last month of a four-year run (due to stunt star casting, etc.) On the other hand, SPRING AWAKENING seems to have cleaned up in record time.
In cases such as this with a big musical, the producers usually make a formal press announcement.

Chances are, Legally Blonde will recoup about 75% by the time it closes. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels did the same, as well, but I'm sure they've made up the difference on tour.
Producers would make a formal announcement when a show recoups. The lack of announcements shows how many productions usually recoup in a year.
It's not covering its costs these days, so...
Obviously, Miss Amy Lynn Shapiro's (aka WaltSummersPI or Ncassidine on ATC) reading is as bad as her lyrics. LB was a weekly nut of $600,000, which it has made week after week.
LEGALLY BLONDE's grosses
Oh, because personal attacks aren't a way to get a thread deleted.
and for the record, LB's nut is 650.
