I didn't think to mention the accents before, but TomasMarx makes a good point which is especially valid in light of the commitment to color blind and gender blind casting.

I also agree that Will Chase fit the role very well, partly due to his looks, and partly because he just managed to capture the physical essence of John Lennon. I liked him.
