I was watching the Les Mis Dream Cast on video with Ruthie Henshell, Colm Wilkenson (sp?), and Lea Salonga. I noticed during Young Cosette's song, "Castle on a Cloud" when the girl sings "Crying at all is not allowed," there is some loud bang that sounds like something crashed. You see the girl almost give a startled jump for a split second, but she does a good job of not making it very noticable. Just wondering, what was going on that made that noise?

I think it's some of the balloons up in a net on the ceiling. That was my guess, anyway.

Yes, a balloon indeed. Kudos to the young Cossette for keeping her composure!
Is that the 10th anniversary tape? Wow, that's what got me hooked to Les Mis. I never knew that was Ruthie Henshall...cool!
Millie: Close. It's "Wilkinson." :) Also, "the girl" is Hannah Chick.
Yes, it was a balloon popping, and Hannah handled it perfectly. It actually made the moment even more effective -- it was as if the abused Cosette was always heard these kinds of noises in the horrible Thenardier house, and was afraid of another beating.

A balloon popped. There's also another point in the video where another balloon pops. During the sewers scene?
This video got my mom hooked on LM
Yeah, it's during "Dog Eats Dog," but it's far less noticeable there.
