Was wondering if anyone could help me! After seeing Les Mis again last week in London i realised that my CD's all seem to be missing one bit of the music. Its right after 'The Bargin' where Valjean is walking with little Cosette and they sing a little 'tra la la la' harmony bit (to the tune of castle on a cloud maybe?)?! anyone know where i can get this track?!
cheers!

That's only in English.
Any of the Japanese or the Complete Czech Recording (which uses the same artwork as the CSR) have that bit as well as the extra verse added to Lovely Ladies. (That extra verse is not on the CSR).
As I recall, the "Christmas harmony" (as I call it) is on the CSR.

It was added in 1997, after the last English-language cast recording of LM was made (the TAC).

Posted: 2/22/06 at 11:17amI wonder if they will make another recording of the show since it sounds like they are trying to do an all star cast for the broadway return. I would love to have a recording of that new musical segment.

Posted: 2/22/06 at 11:22amI think another recording would be bird kill. There are so many available. Complete Symphonic, Origional London Cast, Origional Parisian Cast, Origional Broadway Cast, and The Dream Cast 10th Annaversary, and the Highlights for all of these with the exception of the 10th Ann. These are all available at your local record store. No special orders etc. so it's not like it's a recording thats all dusty and needs to become "available" once again. There are still current recordings of this musical out. No need for a new one, but one is probably going to be made. IMO.

If the revival has a good cast - I would like a new recording - maybe one that is complete with all the changes.
That would be hot!

I agree with lovinlife.
They considered doing a recording of the 10th anniversary Broadway cast, but it didn't happen. I don't see how they could convince themselves to make yet another English-language cast recording.

Well, my club will convince them.
And it will also convince them to cast Mary Testa.
