What is a Chours?
It closed on Broadway over two years ago, hon. And I would assume you have the Cast Recording unless it's the soundtrack to the movie, which is something else entirely.

Okay, good. Now, you've explained the "Seeing it on tour" thing.
The reason why we jump on people for it because there's a HUGE difference between the two.
A cast recording is where...the cast...records the musical numbers...a soundtrack is for a movie/T.V. show.

Well, soundtracks are for movies, and cast recordings are for shows, and we like it too be specified. Honestly, elphie, i have no idea, but that's what I'm guessong.

Posted: 11/2/05 at 5:55pmBecause a Cast Recording is for a stage musical, a soundtrack is for a film. For example, the music for the original stage version of RENT is the OBCR, the new double CD for the movie is a soundtrack. Though they are similar, they are not the same.
