Anyone have it, if so do you like it?

I tried to get it last year from Amazon. They kept pushing back the range of dates that they would be able to send it...they changed the dates about 2 times before they eventually told me they could never get it.
But, I heard a few of the songs in a French class and loved them, moreso than some of the ones in English productions.
Actually, if you know where to find this recording, I'd love to be able to buy it too.
you can get it at
http://www.amazon.fr/?site=amazon&tag=intl-usfooter-frhome
but I do think it says two weeks before it ships, and I believe there are 2 versions available. I ordered it today.

Are you referring to the Paris Cast, or the Original French Concept Album?
I used to have both - on the Paris Cast, Louise Pitre (Mamma Mia) is an amazing Fantine, and the Eponine phenomenal. I consider her "Own My Own" the best I've ever heard - because of the lyric changes, the line "I've only been pretending", which is usually belted on the "-ten" syllable is belted on the "-ing". The translation for her Own My Own is also beautiful - it's "Mon Histoire" ("My Story"), and the line "Without me his world will go on turning/A world that's full of happiness/That I have never known" becomes "My story, though still empty, is a dream full with sweetness, of which I'll never take part."
On the French Concept, "L'Un Vers L'Autre" (One Towards The Other) is a highlight. I think this in the spot where "On My Own" is now, but instead its Eponine singing about Marius and Cosette meeting for the first time:
Two angels which are discovered
do not have anything to explain
two hearts which are found said all without speaking
They went without knowing
one towards the other and
by chance found the other
like in a story.
I really adore the Paris recording. Stephanie is phenomenal. My favorite.
I love the Paris cast
Worth every penny.

I thought they cut the part of Fantine in the French version. Something about "streamlining" the show.
I prefer the Paris one. The original concept wasn't that great.

The Paris one is the same as all the other Mackintosh's.
The French Concept album is fantastic - even including Marius' grandfather (which is the connection between Marius and Thenardier).
Marie-Fraqnce Russel is the Mme. Thenardier on bother French recordings. Claude-Michel Schonberg makes a guest appearence on the OFC CD.
no, not the concept album.....147 Euros is a bit much for me.....
concept album

Check out ebay - it's always there.
Sometimes a Barnes & Noble has one. The one by me always has one. I just checked their website and didn't see it.
