Keira Knightly most definitely cannot sing... I beleive that she was talked into auditioning for the Phantom of the Opera movie even after explaining that she couldn't sing, and considers the audition one of her most mortifying moments.

I mean, I would have so much emotional attachment to it as a director which would definitely cloud my judgement of cutting certain things.

But honestly, Les Mis was not made to be a short movie.

(Maybe a three part movie musical - JK!)

But, I think we should wait until Dakota can play Eponine.

back to an earlier post, i love the idea os john c reily and kathy bates as the thenardiers thatd be great, also like the idea of antonio banderas as javert though i dont know y.
