Oh, lord, can you IMAGINE how many people would buy tickets, though, if one cast member openly bashed another's performance?

I don't seem to recall the recent revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" getting much of a ticket boost after Ned Beatty trashed the rest of the cast. Most theatre people just got pissed off that he would betray his fellow castmates in that way.

Yeah, there are no bitchy show queens here! The high road is taken, repeatedly, consistently, without rancor or acid tongued repartee.

On the other hand, at least we have these eye-catching avatars, which punch up the posts.

There's a difference between being a bitch on a message board and being a bitch in The New York Times. There's also a huge difference between being a fan of theatre complaining about a production and being someone involved in the production compaining about your co-stars to the press.

Well if they are replacing her (and I really hope they don't--at least not yet--I bought tickets mostly b/c I wanted to see her!) she doesn't know it yet. I was e-mailing her earlier and she said she will be there until Februaray. If they were going to replace her, wouldn't they have made that change by now? They wouldn't want someone brand new getting reviewed, would they?

I know many of you want to see her gone, but I really want to see her in this role. And I spent quite a bit of $$ on tix only b/c I wanted to see her in this show. Will be greatly disappointed if she is no longer there when I go!

"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you: -Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off! -Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch! -I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that. -Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say. -Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular! -Bed made, room straightened. We've done that. -Colors blended. Oookay. -But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile." ~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"

For heaven's sake....they're not replacing her. The creatives are happy with the performances. That's the problem.
