Posted: 6/19/04 at 2:47pmI find Leveaux to be a much better director of plays than musicals. His work in "The Real Thing" was absolutely sublime, as was his staging of "Jumpers," "Electra" and "Anna Christie" (his work on "Betrayal" was fine, but there's only so much you can do with that play -- not one of Pinter's best).

Posted: 6/19/04 at 3:17pmI just watched a recording of Theatre Talk from last night (I love my DVR) and while McIndoe was the soul of discretion and tried his best to downplay it, he clearly was enjoying gently ribbing Riedel about the incident (they appear to be friends). When Riedel insisted he say who was to blame for the little scuffle, McIndoe replied, "Michael, you had that one coming.... if you had said the things to me that you had said to him, I'd have broken more than your watch....."
