Level of the Quizes

Level of the Quizes

I have been submitting quizes to the site for about 4 or 5 weeks. May I please ask for feedback on the level of the quizes.

Are the challenging or too easy? Are they boring? Or fun?

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for you response.

You know I love 'em, Bulldog. But did you see my post asking for your sorces? (The "most recorded show" quiz? Where did you get that info?)

They are just challenging enough for me, but I'm a seasoned old thing and love to have my memory bank challenged.

Keep 'em coming!

PEACE.

This week's Phantom of the Opera quiz is too hard. Unless you are a Phantom devotee, it's a useless quiz.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I have a question about the Phantom quiz. I thought that the chandelier was the finale of act one, and that part happens on stage during the curtain call for the opera. When I marked that, it was wrong. So is the "All I Ask of You" scene counted as the finale?
Thanks,
p.s. Sorry if I've just forgotten something really obvious.

Bulldog, I enjoy the quizzes and appreciate the time you put into them and the puzzlers. The quizzes are quite challenging, IMO, especially the "classics" quiz. That's good because part of the fun of a quiz is to learn something new, right? It might be a good idea, though, to throw in a few easier questions with the hard -- just a suggestion.

If you are talking about the weekly quizes, I think they are remarkably hard!

Melissa: You're right. The chandelier falls onto the stage at the end of Act I. "All I Ask of You" takes place on the roof of the Opera House. According to the Playbill, it's all Scene 10 but the question asks where the closing of Act I takes place. The falling of the chandelier is the closing and I answered the question as you did.

Perfect love, perfect sin...there is no perfect anything.

Thanks for your feedback. Sueleen and ChrisLovesShows I'm glad you especially are finding them fun. Everyone's positive responses make the time spent creating them worthwhile.

I do try to make them challenging, otherwise what is the point? I have to stop trying to stump Magruder! I will try however to add one/two giveaway questions to raise the overall response average.

As for the PHANTOM Quiz, I thought this message board was full of PHANTOM-ites. So I am surprised that some of you found it difficult. Nearly all of the questions could be answered by anyone with a souvenier program and a CD/Libretto. Plus I thought it fun to focus less on the musical than the milieu.

As for the CLASSICS Quiz, well, if you don't know sources your just not a musical theatre aficionado. LOL Maybe they'll be a CLASSICS II.

Or maybe a Rogers & Hammerstein, show by show? Or maybe a Cole Porter? How about a PAJAMA GAME Quiz? The list is endless. Just don't ask for LaChiusa or JRBrown or Guettel or Larsen. Or, heaven forbid, a MILLIE Quiz. LOL

Yours for a better Broadway!
