Better a disco than a parking lot! They also use the space for fashion and music performance events. I still think it's not outside the realm of possibility the space could eventually revert back to a legit theatre venue. There was some speculation on the boards that the city wouldn't zone the space for theatrical use but apparently that isn't true.

The only real problem is that the theatre's lobby has been converted to business use on 42nd Street. Everything just needs a refurb.

I actually think most of the theatre lobby is now being used for restaurant space- but the theatre is remarkably intact considering all the construction that went up around it over the past decades.

When the "diner" is open , can you peer in back to see the old "theatre"?
