hey. Does anyone know where i can find the libretto for The Life? I need the actual book as well as the lyrics. It seems i have tried every possible resource, but i cannot find it ANYWHERE!! If anyone has any information about how or where i can get it, i would be very grateful. thanks!
You wouldn't be anywhere near NYC would you? If you are, I would try the Performing Arts Library next to the Met Opera at Lincoln Center. They may have a reference copy, but I'm not sure if it is in circulation. My gut tells me that this has not been published for sale or circulation and that you might have to get lucky and find someone with a copy they happened to get a hold of somehow? It's not produced very often, so i don't know how many books/scores are floating out there.

If I am not mistaken, Tams-Witmark Music Libray, Inc. holds the amateur rights to the show. Contact their office in NYC and they could send you the complete script and the piano/vocal score on perusal. You can keep it for a couple of weeks. You will be charged shipping costs. If you work for a community theatre or school that already has an account, see if they can order it for you.
