"Though I actually like Piazza and think it's a beautiful show, I hate it when people insist that if you didn't like or see the appeal of something, you didn't understand it. That's so insulting... is it that difficult to imagine that a show just might not have been one person's cup of tea, even though they fully understood what it was trying to say?"
I don't see anyone here saying that. AS amatter of fact I made a point of saying that if one didn't like it, they didn't get it. I persaonlly was responding to the critics problems with it. It's the same as saying that I didn't like Mamma Mia because the score wasn't catchy enough. That's just a foolish observation and if I felt that way I obviously missed something. That was my response to the Farber review. I actually didn't mention the mistake he made either. Even if he got all the facts straight, he still didn't seem to get the show. I could care less if it wasn't his cup of tea as long as he was infomed as to why it wasn't his cup of tea.
Oh PLEASE DG. Really...it's a discussion on a board. I'm certainly not losing sleep over it. It was posted and people are reacting. You act as if people are distraught over it. I may have a specific opinion but that doesn't mean I don't immediately forget about BWW when I walk away from the computer. Seriously...this is what you call a hoo-ha?
