That's a shame for two reasons...

1. Andrew Lippa can't get his own show on Broadway, so he has to add new songs to old shows.
2. The Wiz doesn't need any new songs.

And yes please for Ben Vereen as Tin Man, and Vanessa Williams might be pretty good as Glinda too! Great ideas, Mojojo

My icon should tell you I'm not opposed to Fantasia in The Wiz. I think she could pull it off and inject a diffrent type of energy in the show. I'll admit she wouldn't be my first choice but she's definitly an interesting one. Fantasia can sing a lot of diffrent styles so she really can't be pigeonholed as just a "screamer"...Now her as Lorell in Dreamgirls that's HER role, especially with her personality! She's the only one that could even try to compete with Loretta.
