any opinions on this one? I'm actually happy it's coming back because I haven't seen it. I just wish they would announce some stuff that hasn't come to Chicago before....

Agreed. I saw it like...5 or 6 years ago on a high school choir trip to San Francisco, but it was really cool so if I have the money I will totally go see it again :) I also wish they'd announce some things that haven't been here yet, though. I'm glad these big-name shows will (probably) make them some money, but...yeah.

Seeing as it's been five years since The Lion King has last stopped in Chicago I am totally ok with this one coming to town... Wicked on the other hand... I think it's much too early for a return visit of that show... but, don't get me wrong, I still will be getting tickets. lol.

Wow! Again?

Whatever. If it makes money........

I saw it when it first opened back in 2003 here in Chicago for the first time. It got extended for almost a year. I recall the Pumba leaving the show to go play Max in The Producers while that show was also midrun here. I've never heard of a castmember from one tour show to jump to another show in the same city like that.....

I'm glad it's coming back, my kids were too young last time to see it. Isn't Rock of Ages coming soon as well? That's never been to Chicago... has it?
