Lip Synching,or "sweetener" is used ALL the time in shows. The title number in Phantom of the Opera is almost(if not completely) pre recorded and Lip-synched to. Of course it is their voices on track. The audience will know in your case,so they won't be fooling anyone. The should just come clean.

I feel for the poor actor who actually has to face the audience and lip synch hoping he can pull it off. I'd be terrified. If I were him, I think I'd rather try and sing as much as possible and just lip synch the more difficult songs. Assuming of course, Akiva's voice is similar to the actor's.


The meat is always leaner on somebody else's dinner plate!
