Posted: 10/2/05 at 2:34amShe's also wonderful as Johanna in the Sweeney Todd concert with George Hearn and Patti LuPone. She has a voice of steel, that woman.

She is amazing as well. I will be stage-managing her this Winter in a special Tribute to Stephen Sondheim. She is our special guest performer.
This event is being held in San Francisco!

I saw her perform at the Cameron Mancintosh celebration "Hey Mr Producer" at the Lyceum Theatre in London. She performed the role of Christine in the Phantom segment of the show and her voice was amazing. She sounded perfect and extremly confident which is quite an achievment considering she was perfoming in front of the Queen and Prince Phillip. Has anyone got her album? was wondering what it was like.

Posted: 10/2/05 at 10:39amI have the video of that Hey, Mr. Producer, and hearing her hit that high E is absolutely thrilling: it's strong and clear, and I haven't heard a Christine (including Sarah Brightman) who hits it as wonderfully as Lisa Vroman.

I saw Lisa in "Phantom" on Broadway the first week she started in the role. She blew the roof off and gave me chills through the whole show.
She had done the role many times around the country but this was her first week as Broadway's Christine.
It made so much more sense having the character sing that well. You really got the reason for Carlotta being so nervous and threatened with her "diva" status.
Anyone who has an opportunity to see her in this part, do it! Even if the rest of the production is sagging (which this one was), she alone is worth the price of the ticket.
Oh, and if you can't see her live, check out her performance as Johanna on the "Sweeney Todd in Concert" DVD with LuPone.

Posted: 10/2/05 at 4:10pmOh, I really love her too. Too, too bad she was not on the Sweeney Cast Recording 2001. She is the best Joanna, I think. She and Davis Gaines were a shoe-in.

Posted: 10/3/05 at 1:11amLisa Vroman is a hysterical lady and a PHENOMENAL Christine. I actually think she would be a wonderful Carlotta some day, too. :)
