LISTEN TO MY HEART is closing on Sunday. It really is a shame that this show never found its audience. Y'all should try to catch it if you can.
That's a shame. I was planning on seeing this production while I was in NYC just after Christmas. I was having trouble getting my ticket order processed last week, and now I wonder if the closing was already "unoffically" announced at that time.

Corine2 said it was excellent.
My wife saw it & really liked it. My wife is a big Nancy La Mott fan Wonder if the cast album will still come out. It had a limited audience & no falling chandeliers or helicopters so it did not have a chance. All it had was great songs & a great cast that sung the hell out of the songs. A shame all around
You are kidding.
What a shame. Yes it is excellent. I went three times.
Go and see it.
Save this brilliant show.

The headline on this thread and original poster's screen name, big Effie White, made me think this thread was about coronary disease.

I do hope they release the cd. The only cd right now of his music is the one that pulled some out of print and bootleg copies he had of his own music. I would love for someone to do a David Friedman album. Just his stuff.
They have one for sale at the show.
GO!

I cannot make it to NY in time.
I live in Baltimore Hon' But I want a cd! I love him very much. He is my hero!
It was a very enjoyable show.
But in all fairness, they DID save it once before and put a great deal of effort into giving it more publicity - but I have to admit, I thought the "Nancy's in the Audience!" bit on CROSSING OVER was a little bit of too much.
It would be nice if they had run longer, but it has had a fairly decent run as it is. Could it just be that it had a limited audience?
