re: Little Mermaid

Last I heard, they were working on three new shows:
Mary Poppins, currently in London
The Little Mermaid
Tarzan

I haven't heard very much buzz lately, though. Anyone? I'm intrigued.

re: Little Mermaid

sorry, i know you are new, so i will make this as painless as possible....

The search feature is your friend. There is another thread ALL about this...mistakenly called "Little Murmaid."

Sorry, had to warn you about the search feature...

re: Little Mermaid

TARZAN is still coming first, sadly.

LITTLE MERMAID will follow TARZAN.

I'd love to see PATTI LUPONE as Ursula.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: Little Mermaid

No, as much as I love him, he would ruin the role with his Harvey personality.

Yes, the Phil Collins Tarzan.

What did you think of her Poor Unfortunate Souls in OTR?

re: Little Mermaid

I think Harvey would be a great Ursula if they decided to cast a male...it's not like she sounds that feminine anyway. I can imagine him being able to get his voice very deep for the role.

Yet, who would play him as a beautiful girl?

re: Little Mermaid

ooh in all seriousness, Debbie Gravitte would be awsome as Ursula! Actually, in the Alan Menken album she sings "Poor, Unfortunate Souls" and shes so good!
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

re: Little Mermaid

Emily's Poor Unfortunate Souls from OTR was Awesome !! All of her solo songs were OUTSTANDING... She should have had more songs.. but what can you do, it was a review...
