hey all

I know that I'm going to get some super snide comments from the bitter theater queens who THINK they know everything, but whatever

I'm going to NY in 2 weeks to see some shows. We bought tickets for Grease for my younger brother because he essentially idolizes Max Crumm (I know that will piss off the theater queens too, get over it). Well, when we got tickets last year, the wonderfully timed strike prevented us from seeing it, so we bought tickets again so he could see it. I was going to try and get tickets the next day for the Mermaid matinee, but I really don't want to pay an arm and a leg to see it. Is there a rush, lottery or SRO for the show? I know he really wants to see it, and I'd like to take him as an early birthday present! Thanks everyone!

and yes, I want to see the show too....Sherie Rene Scott is hysterical and I love her!

Well, first off, offending your responders before they have a chance to reply while you're looking for help is a sure way to GET snide remarks. Just a tip. re: Little Mermaid Question

"The Little Mermaid
Standing Room: $26.50 - available at the box office on the day of the performance only when the show is sold out. There are 12 standing room positions. Credit cards accepted."

If it doesn't work out, I personally would not recommend paying an arm and a leg for it. I had high hopes and was pretty disappointed. If I paid more than $30 (through my school, not a discount or student rush thing) I would want my money back.

"But I can tell you that Raoul, who was so handsome in "The Phantom," is now a drunken wreck."

Just on a side note-
I saw Grease and enjoyed it. Hope you have a great trip!

"Everytime you step on that stage it is somebody's first Broadway show and somebody's last Broadway show. Make it count."
