Having seen the new Little Shop twice, I personally witnessed the entire audience rise to its feet roaring its approval as the final curtain came down on both occasions. You cant argue with 1270 people at each show!!!

Did they then go en masse back to the box office to buy more tickets for future dates, Lou?
Yea same here I saw it today for the first time and the who house was on there feet from the first bow. They loved it I loved it. I think everyone is great. Kerry and Hunter are great on stage. Also the 3 girls all of them this being there Bway debut are amazing.

Of course they were standing! When you have a big box office name like Kerry Butler giving the performance of the century, how could it be anything else?

Ah, Lou is once again posting about standing ovations! Didn't you have anything else to say about the show, Lou? Or isn't that found in your job description as a member of LITTLE SHOP's publicity staff?
Yes, the audience gave the show a "Standing O" when I saw it last week, but these are the same people who rise to their feet for ANY show. There's a whole breed of audience now that believes it is a standard procedure to jump to their feet at the conclusion of ANY show. The Standing Ovation has lost its significance in today's world. It's especially sad when a lackluster production like LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS has its crowd rising to applaud its mediocrity!

Don't you find it interesting that LewW95 doesn't have a Profile listed? Don't you want to find out about a fellow who has been attending shows for 50 years and can only comment about the standing ovations in LSOH? Couldn't he find anything to say about the performers? The direction? The set? AudreyII?
"Something's rotten in the State of Denmark."
Zoom, you're post was sheer genius. Oh, if only everyone on this board had proper perspective. LOVED IT!
