Ok, I know I post a lot on here about productions my school does, but just bare with me here. The company our choir is using to do LSOH through said that since our choir has 41 members, it is perfect for LSOH. Did I miss something because last time I checked there were only about 8 characters. Of course, I'm going to audition for Seymour, but this has just made me wonder a little.

Usually the show is done with just nine characters: Seymour, Audrey, Mr. Mushnik, Orin et. al., Chiffon, Ronnette, Crystal, and the voice of Audrey II plus the puppetteers for Audrey II. The puppetteers usually double as citizens of Skid Row for "Skid Row," but the show can easily be expanded. Some of Orin's parts can be divided to make more characters. I think the show is best when played with the original number of perople specified, but it is easy to stick a chorus in the show.
