I'm going to see Little Shop of Horrors tonight. It's a community theatre fundraiser, so it should be fun. I'll tell you how it goes.

I watched the movie (with Rick Moranis, et al) for the first time the other night - what a campy, but great, movie! I sang along. re: Little Shop of Horrors

Ohh definitly tell me how it is, I got tickets for when it comes to Costa Mesa and I'm interested in hearing how Jonathan Rayson is as Seymour. Question though, for anyone who's seen a show at the Orange County Peforming Arts Centre near Costa Mesa (where LSoH is playing), I managed to snag really good seats for the show (front row, seat 22...center seat being number 15) and was wondering if you have to crane your neck alot to see, or if that's way off to the side etc. I couldn't believe we got front row though although maybe that's not a good thing for this particular show? Never seen it live. Anyways, any info would be great.

I saw LSoH in Minneapolis last night... Jonathan Rayson was AWESOME!! I loved his Seymour. The rest of the cast was also great! Hope you enjoy it when you see it! :)

Thanks for the info kates. I'm so excited to see the show. I missed it in LA and I was thrilled to be able to get such good tickets for its return to the LA area in August. It's still the same cast (except for Jonathan obviously) from when the tour first started right? Tari Kelly, Micheal James Leslie so on? Anyways, so excited to see it.

Yeah, it seems the rest of the cast is the same. Tari Kelly was wonderful! And loved Lenny Wolpe as Mushnik. Ahh! Everyone is just so good!

It was my first time seeing it live...what a fun show!

Also, Jonathan's understudy is Jim Poulos...which would be cool to see as well!

Ohh man I'd love to see Jim Poulos. Either one would be fantastic to see. I've heard some great things about both him and Jonathan. And I'm a longtime Tari fan so being able to see her live will be great. I'm a LSoH fanatic so the anticipation of seeing the show is quite large for me. :-P

Anyone see MADE on MTV on Wed.? This kid wanted to become a "mac" and he was the Seymour in his high school's production of LSoH. The set and the plant actually looked pretty good.I wish he had sang though.

Yes, I did see that! It looked vey good! At one point you could also see him holding the LS script. And the one girl he dated was the plant. How did you know that he was Seymour? I do not remember them him ever saying who he was?

The production I saw last nightwas very good for community theatre. They cut "call back in the morning" (which I hear is very common). This is the second community production of Little Shop that I've seen.

The strongest singer was Seymour. I absolutley loved his voice. The weakest performer played Audrey. It was her first performance ever in musical theatre, so it was understandable that she was shakey. On a side note, there wasn't one black actor in the production (or in the audience). hmmm....
